EERC ~ Faculty Associate - Robert A. Bohm
Ph.D., Economics, Washington University. A.M., Economics, Washington University. A.B., Economics, Colgate University. Dr. Bohm has been with EERC since its founding in 1973, serving in several capacities, including acting director, while holding a professorship in the economics department. His research interests include: the use of environmental taxes as an instrument of environmental policy, particularly among state governments in the United States as well as provincial and regional governments in developing countries; factors affecting the decision by a firm to generate hazardous waste and the impact that the generation of such waste has on public policy; economies-of-scale and sustainability of solid-waste recycling programs; economic issues surrounding the valuation of human life and environmental degradation. Dr. Bohm is a member of the American Economic Association and the National Tax Association. His hobbies include hiking, reading, cooking, and gardening. Selected Publications Robert A.
