EERC ~ Faculty Associate - Richard J. Jendrucko
Ph.D., Biomedical Engineering, University of Virginia. M. Ch.E., University of Virginia. B.Ch.E., Manhattan College. Dr. Jendrucko teaches basic engineering courses and biomedical applications in UT’s Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Biomedical Engineering. His primary interests center on industrial energy and environmental management. Dr. Jendrucko’s past work as director of the University of Tennessee Industrial Assessment Center, in collaboration with university staff and students over an 18-yr period, rendered service to more than 600 regional industrial manufacturers before the center’s closure in 2001. In his role as consultant to the university’s Center for Industrial Services, Dr. Jendrucko has been involved in numerous plant energy audits and environmental training courses. In addition to his teaching duties, Dr. Jendrucko currently researches industrial energy-conservation technologies and industrial and environmental management methods. As an EERC faculty associate, Dr. Jendrucko has been involved with such projects as environmental benchmarking with Research Scientist Jean Peretz, campus building energy management with Research Associate Jonathan Overly, and international technology transfer in Beijing and Hong Kong with Senior Research Associate Catherine Wilt. Dr. Jendrucko is a member of the Campus Committee on the Environment. He often serves as conference participant and paper presenter for the Association of Energy Engineers. In his leisure time, he enjoys sports cars, traveling, and collecting
