The Calculator
"The Calculator" is simple to use, and made for someone to be able to spend a minimal amount of time to get a better picture of the cost or cost savings potential of switching certain vehicles in their fleet to natural gas.
The Calculator is an Excel-based spreadsheet that shows you how to calculate a simple ROI or payback on converting gas or diesel vehicles to natural gas, or purchasing OEM NGVs. The spreadsheet will show you which cells you need to get data for, and which cells are calculation cells. Use the information provided and the resources to find out the information you need! Once you input the necessary numbers, the calculations are already setup so you will find out what your payback is depending on the vehicles you chose and the cost savings (i.e., tax incentives, grants) you have at your disposal.
To help more clearly show how the calculator can and should be used, we have created two examples for you to review. We suggest you start here!
