Events

Since the ETCFC and RCAC are cohosting the event, all kinds of information will be available for those that are interested in learning more about what you can do to help improve regional air quality!
  • The ETCFC will have alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) placed along the course to showcase not only these superstar vehicles but also who your neighbors are that are going the extra mile to utilize alternative fuels.
  • The Knoxville Regional Transportation Planning Organization will have information on-hand for Bike-Walk-Bus week, which is April 17-24. There will also be information on their program "Smart Trips."
  • Big Frog Mountain is bringing their solar-powered generator to run the equipment necessary for tallying the registration and finish line information!
  • TVA will likely have information on energy efficiency in the home and business.
  • We will also perhaps have information fron KAT on their services, and from TDEC on a multitude of options available to commuters on what they can do to make a difference in air quality.

Entertainment

LB and the Radons is a south Knoxville-based band that musically cuts a wide swath, venturing into acoustic treatments of jazz and classical tunes as well as their familiar ground of Americana, folk-country, and bluegrass. With a sound distilled from decades of playing in various ensembles encompassing many styles, the band features Brian Sward on mandolin and steel guitars, Steve Gilkey on guitar, Charles Manneschmidt on bass and Jay Manneschmidt and Linda Billman on guitars and vocals.
