Ms. Basler, who joined the EERC in 1990, works with the Technology Research and Development Program as a training coordinator for the ORNL project of Bechtel Jacobs Company LLC, the Maintenance and Integration (M&I) contractor in Oak Ridge. Formerly, Ms. Basler was a quality assurance specialist for the Jacobs Environmental Management Team, a position she held for five years. Before joining EERC, she taught school for 15 years in New York, Ohio, North Carolina, and Tennessee. While working as a professional educator, Ms. Basler prepared and evaluated curriculum materials for public and private schools; planned and executed local school science fairs; and developed workshops for parents, teachers, and principals. Ms. Basler works with the United Way, the Optimist Club, and the Boy Scouts in various fundraising activities. She is a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and rides a '96 Softtail Classic. |
